Heat CutOff (HCO)

The Heat CutOff (HCO) actively protects lithium batteries against overcurrent and overcharging. It consists of sealing material, fusible alloy, heating resistor and flux. As a secondary protective measure in charging and discharging circuits, the HCO detects overcurrent or overcharging and disconnects the circuit if necessary. If the current exceeds a certain threshold, the fusible alloy melts and interrupts the protective circuit. This double protection mechanism ensures reliable protection. The HCO has a rated current of 30 or 45 A, a rated voltage of 100 VDC and is UL, cUL and TUV certified as well as RoHS and REACH compliant.
