The ST01 temperature switch for 3-phase electric motors is characterized by its robust design, which was specially developed for use in industrial environments. It is equipped with an integrated ceramic cover plate for the fixed silver contact. The movable contact is firmly connected to a cross-shaped spring washer, which in turn is connected to a conductive housing.
STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION
When the nominal operating temperature is reached, the bimetallic disk in the ST01 deforms, causing the circuit to be interrupted. After cooling down and reaching the defined reset temperature, the bimetal disk and the spring washer return to their initial position. This enables the moving contact to be reconnected to the fixed silver contact and ensures that the circuit is restored.
