The BW-BCP is a 6A circuit breaker of the BW-B series, which is equipped with a normally closed switching position, automatic reset and plastic housing insulation.

Main components of the BW-BCP:
The product consists of a housing, an iron holder, a bimetallic disk, a movable contact, a base and a fixed silver contact.
Structure of the BW-BCP:
The moving contact is welded to the bimetallic disk and then attached to the iron holder. The fixed silver contact and the base are formed into a single unit, whereby the base is then riveted to the iron holder. The current first flows through the moving contact on the bimetal disk from the iron holder and then through the fixed silver contact to form a circuit.
Function of the BW-BCP:
Under normal conditions, the movable contact of the BW-BCP is in close contact with the fixed silver contact under the pre-pressure of the bimetal disk. When the rated operating temperature is reached, the bimetallic disk is deformed by heat and snaps back quickly, interrupting the circuit. After cooling down and reaching the defined reset temperature, the bimetal disk and the spring plate snap back into their initial position, the contacts close again and the BW-BCP resumes its function.
