The SGP series Heat CutOff (HCO) actively protects lithium batteries against overcurrent and overcharging. It consists of sealing material (epoxy), fusible alloy, FH, flux and a housing. This fuse is used as a secondary protective measure in charging and discharging circuits and supplements the primary protective circuit. During the charging and discharging process, the Heat CutOff (HCO) detects overcurrent or overcharging and switches off the circuit if necessary. If the current exceeds a certain threshold value, the fusible alloy heats up and melts. This disconnects the protective circuit. If the primary protection circuit or the main circuit fails, the secondary protection IC activates the FET. This triggers the heating resistor (FH), which generates heat to melt the fusible alloy. Thus, the charging and discharging circuit is separated and the heating circuit is switched off at the same time. This double protection mechanism prevents both overcurrent and overcharging problems. The Heat CutOff (HCO) series SGP has a rated current of 30 or 45 A, a rated voltage of 100 VDC and an operating range of 4.0 to 92.0 VDC. It complies with UL, cUL and TUV approvals and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
